Happy New Year

Hey guys, I hope your new year is going well so far. I thought I’d update you on the progress of the album.

You might know that Marty, Bernie, Lex and I (with help from several others) spent the majority of December 08 trying to finish up the transMission album. It will be, hands down, our best yet. Look for it soon and keep an eye on Marty’s website for more details and a release date.

A week before Christmas, we switched gears to work on my next solo album. Whereas tM’s album is probably our most heavily produced one yet, mine will be much more organic. We knocked out several tunes in just a few days and as the song list came together, it became clear that this album would be about the relationships in my life that are most important to me.

If you’ve been listening for a while, you may remember a song for my wife called, “Give and Take”. This one gets a much-deserved new rendition. There’s a song for my son (“Boy Become a Man”) and one for my father. Songs for other people will make their way onto the album, but I don’t want to give too much of the surprise away just yet. :)

I’ve moved to Australia with my family to take a job with the Salvation Army, starting January 27th. Right now, I’m waiting for my computer to arrive so I can tackle the editing process and comp all the vocals before we go to mix.

I have to thank Bernie and Marty and Lex for their help on the album. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them. Thanks, guys!

Stay tuned for more details…
