So, I usually don’t do software reviews or recommendations, but once in a while a product comes along that makes me want to tell other people about it. Evernote is such a product.

From the website: “Evernote allows you to easily capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes this information accessible and searchable at any time, from anywhere.”

And that doesn’t begin to describe the awesomeness of this little app. I use it to record song ideas onto my phone on the go, type grocery lists at home, snap a photo of my parking space (geo-tagged for later), and all kinds of other things… Check it out!! www.evernote.com

Tracking the new tM album

Well, I am sitting here in Black Cat studio with Bernie Dake, listening to Marty Mikles and Lex Roberson record bass and drums for a song called “Let Justice Roll”, written by Nathan Rowe – all of this is being recorded by the inimitable Jason Hoarde.

It is so good to make music with friends.  I’ve been making music with these guys (Bernie, Marty and Lex) for almost a decade now.  And my ears and heart are so much the better for it.

Heart, Life, Voice – release and video

Hey guys.  I had the extraordinary privilege of having one of my songs chosen for an album called “Heart Life Voice“.  It’s put out by a group called Micah Challenge.  Well, the launch date for Australia is October 30th (not sure if it’s launching separately in other countries).  You can check out all the details for the album here, including how to get your copy.

I’m excited and honored to be a part of this project.  You can check out the short video below for a cool overview that includes the song I submitted (Beggar’s Hand).
